BEST Veterinarian

We have the best veterinarian.  Her name is Dr. Brimacomb and she is at Highland Pet Animal Hospital in Highland City on Bartow Highway between Lakeland and Bartow.  Her phone number is (863) 644-6634.  She has been incredible with Dulce and is doing a great job with Pockets as well.  Going to see Dr. B is a treat for Dulce.  She runs to the door and believe me, we're there quite often.

Dog Food & Vitamins

We have the girls on Orijen 6 Fish Dog Food which has been working great for them.  Dulce's skin problems are doing much better on this food.  We have tried everything with her and so far she's been able to stay on this food for over a year.  If you live in Tampa, Chuck's Natural Food Marketplace has 20% off on the second Tuesday of each month so we drop by to get the food on those days.

We get the girls' heartworm medicine, Interceptor, from Drs. Foster and Smith.  Their prices are cheaper than the veterinarian's office and they call your vet's office to get the prescription.  We also have them on a probiotic as they are both prone to tummy issues.  I buy the Vetri-Probiotic BD from Amazon.com in the chewable tablets and the girls just love them.  The last thing they get is their new glucosamine tablets.  I bought these in a chewable form at the pet store.  We've had several friends who have had dogs with broken bones or ACLs lately so we thought this would be a good idea.

Toys

Our girls definitely have a great selection of toys, but their favorites are stuffed animals and their nylabones.  Dulce has a stuffed bunny that we have multiples of in case anything happens.  She sucks on its' nose as she falls asleep.  It's the cutest thing ever!  Dr. B says puppies taken too soon from their mothers choose toys like this as a pacifier and Dulce definitely has hers.  We now try to find stuffed animals for her with big noses.  Pockets has a stuffed chicken right now that she just loves. 

Dog Obedience

Dulce and Pockets have both taken classes at DogSense Obedience in South Lakeland with Debbi Snyder.  Debbi is fantastic.  We love her and have enjoyed all the classes we have taken.
